Ahoy!
Welcome to my music page!
Here's a playlist with a lil sample of my playing (I recorded myself playing to bassless tracks). There's covers, a bassline I wrote for the band Damned Honey, and a band rehearsal.

Musical Resume of Sorts
Gear

I have a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 amp and a Genz Benz STL-12T (1x12) speaker cab, and some pedals. I also have a Fender Rumble 40 for quiet situations.
I use a Focusrite interface + Reaper + plugins to record.
I'll be getting a more powerful speaker soon!
I like to play different genres, so I have a few basses (all 4 strings), to cover all my bases:
I have a Fender Precision, an Ibanez with Geezer Butler pickups installed (sounds like a jazz bass), a fancy HH Ibanez, and a Danelectro Longhorn for tasty vintage vibes, all professionally setup, and fret-dressed when needed.
I can tune down to drop C.

Music skills + strengths (3rd person)

- In the pocket! Certified drums locker
- Really good ear--can easily and quickly learn to play songs by ear
- Can memorize shit crazy fast
- Can fiddle around on a guitar and ukulele when needed for songwriting
- Can play piano, badly
- Can read notation and rhythmic tablature
- Can sing alright, but only background vocals while playing bass
- Learning some more music theory rn
- Bass skills summarized: usually hits intended notes; mutes good; does not struggle with weird beats; can play fast; can play Histeria good IF a lil slower than og; getting the hang of slap and tapping
- will not overplay; good feel for when to get fancy (very demure)
- plays every god damn day, a lot

Soft skills (1st person)

- If I'm working with others, I really commit. I appreciate how important it is to be reliable, responsible and cooperative.
- I'm empathetic and very good at communicating tactfully. I'm frank but never a harsh critic--I tend to be a little too understanding, if anything.
- I'm proudest of all to say that I'm self-aware and will listen to my peers. No, I'm not McCartney, I'm not super experienced, I'm here to grow and collaborate and have fun.
- I'm sober, and a little less chaotic in person than I seem here.

Experience
I was in my first proper rock band, a trio, for a few months, and it was a blast! Things sadly didn't work out with the drummer, but the guitarist and I still frequently play together. I really love playing with others and my goal is to find a band to commit to!
As for live performance experience, I don't have a lot: I've sung with a jazz band a few times, in Arizona, and I've played piano and ukulele for friends here and there. I'm a teacher though, so I'm used to standing in front of a crowd and I don't have the slightest bit of stage fright.
